Come and join in the fun!

We provide term-time care and education for young children between the ages of 3 and 5 years. We are open Monday to Friday between the times of 7.30am – 6.00pm.

We can accomodate twenty six children with three qualified members of staff.

We follow a wide and stimulating curriculum that is planned by the staff and covers all seven areas of the governments Early Years Foundation Stage. The curriculum is planned around the children’s individual ages and stages of development.

We offer flexible childcare and offer the following sessions in a variety of combinations;

  • 8.00am – 1.00pm or 1.00pm – 6.00pm = 5 hour session / half a day sessions

  • 8.00am – 6.00pm = 10 hour session / full day

  • 8.00am – 3.30pm = 7.5 hour session / three quarters of a day

We also offer an early start of 7.30am (if required), however, this half hour is limited and chargeable as it is not included under the free government funding.

For our current fees/charges please refer to our Terms of Business.

  • Our staffing is based on a ratio of 1:8.

  • Staff are trained to NVQ level 2 or 3 and our Deputy Manager is an Early Years Professional.

  • All staff are trained in Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and many other skills.

  • All staff have regular Enhanced DBS checks and are signed up to the Update Service.

Parents/Carers will be invited into the setting to complete the relevant paperwork as soon as their child becomes eligible and is offered a place.

All children are eligible to a minimum 15 hours of free childcare the term after their third birthday, for 38 weeks per year.  (Compulsory education does not start until the term after the child’s fifth birthday).

Since September 2017, the government offer an extended 15 hours to parents/carers who meet set criteria. You can find out if you are eligible via the Childcare Choices website. Please visit; www.childcarechoices.gov.uk

If you are eligible for the 30 hours, you have to apply via the above website, and you will be issued with a code. This code needs to be provided to us, along with your National Insurance number before the end of the term prior to your child starting with us. If you do not apply during this time, your child will not be eligible to have 30 hours the following term.

You are welcome to visit at any time or appointments can be made if required.

If you wish to apply for a place, please complete an Application & Preference Form and return to the Manager, along with your child’s original full birth certificate.

Early Years Foundation Stage

Within our safe and nurturing environment, we follow the curriculum for the Early Years Foundation Stage, as recommended to us by Ofsted. These are: Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development, Communication and Language, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design; Creative and Physical Development. Please note that each child is an individual and will learn at their own pace. We need to ensure that each child has a secure foundation on which to base their learning. We use topic-based projects to reinforce all areas of the curriculum
